An angry “you should be grateful” is not about gratitude. It´s about obligation with no joy and sometimes a denyal to look at what needs to be transformed. There are better ways of communicating. Like any positive energy, gratitude is free, it cannot be ordered around, but tuned into.  -Deelia

Your Magical Abundance Journal by Kate Corbin

“Financial abundance is simply the Universe’s response to consistent thoughts and feelings of abundance.” – Abraham-Hicks

Ever since I first heard about the Abundance Journal process — probably six years ago now – I’ve been doing it daily. It’s actually one of my favorite processes because it’s fun and easy. And, oh yeah, because it attracts more abundance!

Here’s the deal: Whenever I receive money in any form, I document it, appreciate it, and celebrate it. That’s it!Why do I do this? What’s the point? Well, besides the fact that it’s easy, fun, and a magnet for more abundance, it’s an acknowledgement of the fact that what you focus on grows. So, if you focus on receiving money in any form with joy and appreciation, your income will grow… and bring more joy and appreciation… and more income… and more joy and appreciation, etc.

The Abundance Journal combines the power of focus with the magic of appreciation and the high vibrational joy of celebration. Check it out:

*Document It! I keep my Abundance Journal in a Word document because that’s most efficient for me, but several of my clients make it more of a ceremony by using a special notebook and their favorite pen.

For my Abundance Journal, I use a broad definition of “money in any form.” In addition to the more obvious income from coaching and book sales, I also include:

* finding change on the street (really fun)
* someone treats me to lunch or dinner – or even a cup of tea
* buying something I wanted and it’s ON SALE
* winning a prize
* someone gives me a gift
* earning interest on a bank account or investment – big or small, it goes in my journal!

In addition to documenting income, I now also document generosity. To me, being generous is an important part of abundance. Being generous with others is a good gauge of how abundant I’m feeling, so whenever I’m generous to others, it goes in my Abundance Journal as well. When I buy a gift for someone, have friends over for dinner, contribute to my niece’s trip fund, give an extra large tip for excellent service, etc., I write it down, appreciate that I have the money to do it, and celebrate the two-way flow of money – in and out, in and out, in and out.

Another great thing about documenting abundance is that you have a record of it and you can go back and re-read your journal months or even years later. You’ll be amazed how much abundance you’ve forgotten about! What you focus on grows and grows and grows, so focus on the abundance that is flowing to you every day from all sources and help that abundance grow.

*Appreciate it! Are you able to appreciate finding a quarter on the street – or even a penny? It feels so good to thank the Universe every time money comes into your life. Money is drawn to you as you acknowledge it, appreciate it and celebrate it. When you appreciate money coming in, that money will feel welcome and bring its friends.;-]

“The more grateful you can be for the money you have – even if you don’t have very much – the more riches you will receive.” – Rhonda Byrne

*Celebrate it! It feels so good to milk the feeling of abundance by saying something like “Everybody wants to give me money!” or “I love money and money loves me!” The high vibrational joy of celebration makes you a match to all the other joyful circumstances in your Vortex.

The Law of Attraction matches your vibration. That’s its one and only job. Therefore, to create more abundance in your life, focus on your ever-flowing, ever-expanding abundance. As you do so, you broadcast a clear vibration of abundance and the Law of Attraction has no choice but to match it with – yes – more abundance!

This is a Universe of infinite abundance and you get to decide how much prosperity, wealth and riches you will allow to flow into your life. The Abundance Journal is a great way to document, appreciate, and celebrate the abundance you’re currently allowing in. And it’s a super way to signal the Universe that you’re open to allowing in even more!

Clearing Gratitude from Guilt

fields_of_joy-wallpaper-1366x768

I used to write lists of joy in the past having a major challenging phase in my life. I wrote them for not to get drown in those challenges, to keep on noticing all the good and wonderful still going on in my life. I also wrote them to clear guilt from gratitude. I did it by adding the words and the energies of joy and joyful in my lists of gratitude. I gave joyful thanks to the universe.

Nobody (in relative terms) in my past surroundings and in the society had wanted anything bad by gearing gratitude with guilt and obligation, which tell us that we don´t quite deserve what we receive and that it is somehow away from those less fortunate. We should be grateful, because…That kind of guilt was programmed due to understandable reasons by the even earlier generations in our culture. (Not that it was or is a concern of all the people, but one of those more collective programmings that some of us may adopt unconsciously. On a deeper level it relates to a bunch of patriarchal believes. The quilt and related was also a bigger issue to me, to a part of my personality, having more layers and connections).

So, I managed to clear gratitude from guilt and obligation and now-a-days joy is related to being thankful even without me adding the word “joy” or “joyful” to it.

What kind of feelings does gratitude evoke in you?
