Behind
the fence
a neighbor´s
grandchild
is gasping
an enchanted
woooooooow
over and over
again
to each set
of fireworks
exploding
in the sky.
I chuckle
inside,
thanking
the child
for her
exquisite
reminder
of the magic
of awe
and
wonder.
The star child
in all of
us.
